Our Story
The Pie Addict, is Boise, Idaho-based PIE BAKERY founded by the mother-son duo of Mary and David Lawyer
This story kicked into life, many years earlier, when grandmother Sue, lovingly referred to as ‘Big Mom’, passed down her popular apple pie recipe to her daughter Mary, who dazzled the family during many a Thanksgivings with this most amazing of recipes. Eventually, she taught her eldest son, David how to make it. Eager to learn how to make this most treasured family dessert, David took it a step further, diving headlong into the world of pie baking, consuming (literally) everything related to making pies. He traveled and sampled amazing pie bakeries across the country, gaining more insight and inspiration with every bite. Shortly thereafter, with a bit of subtle coaxing from ‘mom’, the Pie Addict was born!
